Carved Iro Urushi rose pendent necklace

A divine circa 1940s 'camo' Japanese Laquerwork Iro Urushi pendent, often misidentified as bakelite but a gem in it's own right. Deeply carved to resemble a rose, with eyecatching large size and wonderful tactility.
Has been paired with a long silvertone chain with drop of 15", plus the 1 7/8" length of the pendent itself.
