1960s Perma pleated Rembrandt cocktail dress - Medium to X large
There are Little Black Dresses and then there is THIS; an early 1960s ‘Rembrandt’ label cocktail frock in black Tricel, which handles like a light slinky jersey. The fabric has been heat treated into perma pleating, to create awesome texture but also some give in the measurements- no need to worry about bloating towards the end of the night (!). The bodice is only loosely fitted to thin elastic waistband, belting in with original belt, and skirt is straight. The neckline is a flattering wide roll neck, finished with matching bow, and the piece slips over the head with no fastenings. Unlined
Chest of garment 38” relaxed, pulling out to 44
Hip 38, to 44” bearing in mind the pleating will be less dense the further this is stretched
16” mid shoulder to waist
Excellent condition, fabric just magically pops back into place after folding so the piece is fairly easy care!
