1950s 60s Printed cotton dress with pocket - Extra small Small
A summery late 1950s-early 1960s day dress in white cotton, playfully printed with irregular polka dot splodges in bright lipstick red. The fabric’s selvedge indicates the cotton’s manufacturer was ‘ABC fabrics inc’. With little cap sleeves cut in one with the body, the skirt is very full and tightly gathered, to give lovely silhouette worn with petticoat or without (petticoat and belt not included). Finished with large pocket to one side, and dainty back metal zip fastening.
Chest of garment 34”
Waist 26
Mid shoulder to waist just over 14”
Skirt 27”
Presents excellently, a faint small discolouration spot at front skirt which the camera could barely pick up, and 2 biscuit coloured mark to back skirt as pictured. Hem has been let down to present length leaving very very faint line, negligible, and there is a manufacturing flaw at front waist where the machinist has gone a little too far with their stitching!
