1940s Hand embroidered tap pants - Extra large

A stunning pair of 1930s-40s tap pants or French knickers, in apricot coloured floral-patterned silk. Representing hours and hours of hand work, they are entriely handstitched to finish the inside seams, with hems and waist hand-bound in matching silk. Just look at the tiny delicate stitches! To finish, there is a materpiece of hand embroidery and punchwork to form floral motif against ‘lattice’ at the front hems. Fastening with two small buttons to side opening, and handstitched buttonholes.
