1950s Folded cuff cotton swimsuit - Medium

A gorgeous 1950s swimsuit in high quality Swiss cotton, printed with spiky florals in pinks, blue, and teal against white. Strapless, with entirely shirred back, and boned bust. The chest features ‘Cadillac fins’ as I’m calling them; folding pointed flaps which can be worn dramatically folded outwards or laid flat against the body. Label is ‘Lahco’, a swimwear and hosiery company formed in 1922, and still going today.

We laundered and professionally re-elasticated the back and replaced broken boning, so is strong and ready to wear. Would have originally had a halterneck strap which has been lost to time, but buttons remain inside the front should you wish to add your own. Print has lost a little of it’s vibrancy when compared to fabric inside the front folds, but not major.
