A fabulous pair of chic early 1980s evening trousers from the celebrated Swanky Modes boutique label, who operated out of their Camden Town flagship store- this is a particularly interesting bit of fashion history for me, as I was born minutes from the shop (which is now a pub!). Designs from the label are highly collectible, with their iconic ‘Amorphous’ lycra dress realising £5000 in a 2023 high fashion auction. The pants are in black satin brocade, woven with threads of gold/aqua/pink, fastening with side zip and popstud. Fitted in the waist, cigarette pant style tapering toward ankle, with short side split. Lined
