A chic everyday late 1950s-early 60s dress from ‘Mr Mort’ label (love that graphic!), made from a kind of acetate feel fabric, with curious print which appears as woven from a distance! Fastening all the way down the front with faceted glass buttons, the bodice features dolman 3/4 length sleeve, fold back cuffs, and smart back vent. Cuffs, collar, and front edge are trimmed with black looped braid, and there are narrow loops in the waist for your own belt (pictured not included). Skirt is straight, lined with cotton, and has a pocket concealed in both side seams!
Chest approx 38” including curve of the underarm, but not meant to be fitted
Waist on it’s original hook fastening is 25”, but an additional one has been added to make this 26, I’ve included a pic of how this looks when fastened as it causes the braid edge to curve slightly although not super noticeable and not at all if worn with a belt!
Hip 38 tight”
Mid shoulder to waist just under 16”
Skirt length 27” approx
Great condition, presents excellently. Bottom 3 buttons have had horizontal tears in the fabric mended and secured with strips of wondaweb between the layers of fabric, covered when fastened and neatly done.
