1960s Adolfo rayon knit dress - Extra small
A playful late 1960s early 1970s day dress from ‘Adolfo’ label, a designer who worked under Balenciaga and Chanel, but who’s garments at this time were extravagant fantastical “bits and pieces” as Adolfo himself commented! Made from a rayon & wool jersey knit, in the most regal shade of purple with thin stripe hem accents and whimsical large polka dots in contrast teal blue-green. With attractive slash neck and lightly padded puffed sleeve heads, it features fitted bodice with pointed waistline*, and lightly gathered midi length skirt. * this is above natural waist, but not quite empire line, please check measurements;
12.5” between shoulder seams
Chest unstretched 30” to 34 max
around waistline 28”, which is approx 12” below mid shoulder
Hip 38”
29” waistline to hem
Super condition, still has it’s original card tag attached to label so I’m not sure it has even been worn
