1950s Velvet skirt suit - small
Tax included.
"She wore..." A stunning 1950s skirt suit in regal jewel-tone blue velvet, so soft and lustrous, from ‘Entex’ label sold through the Belfast store ‘Brands and Norman’. The 3/4 length sleeve jacket is fitted, with the most wonderful wide portrait collar which transforms depending on the fastening of the top button; both necklines equally dramatic and glamorous. The button below passes through it’s buttonhole to rest on a ‘bow’ of sorts, which is just a fabulous unusual detail! Skirt is straight, lined in the seat with satin, and fastening with side metal zip + hook & eyes.

Presents very well, no structural issues and has been dry cleaned. Lining of jacket shows some tonal change to arms as pictured, and there are a few minor depressions to the pile of the velvet of both articles. V small pull above back split on the skirt, and a slightly darker area towards hem here also, which was hard to photograph and not noticeable when worn. Paler thin area at hem pictured also but again, the lustre of the velvet pile does go a long way to mask these.
