1950s Astraka animal print coat - Medium
A gorgeous mid 1950s coat in deep pile faux fur, printed with a nicely rendered animal spot against shades of grey and beige. From well respected British ‘Astraka’ label, a leading name in “furrier-made” faux furs, this is their ‘Ocelleen’ print of licensed Furleen fabric (pictured promotional pamphlet from mid 1950s attests to this!). A wide cut, open fronted with no fastenings, and collar seamed into a chevron and able to be worn ‘popped’ for drama! Sleeves feature deep cuffs and the piece is lined in satin.
15” between shoulder seams
Chest of garment 46”, meant to be worn loose, shown on an xs manni, but would be fine around a medium
Hip 52”
Mid shoulder to hem 40”
Sleeve length from shoulder 24”
Excellent condition, looking closely I spotted some brown flecks to lower side as pictured however the print masks this well. Label has discoloured slightly from cream to beige
