1940s Silk printed blouse - Medium

A stunning 1940s top in super soft lovely quality silk, with satinised finish and splendid print of abstracted florals, picked out in brilliant magenta/deep blue/briiight canary yellow/spring green against cream. Wonderful sleeves are tightly gathered at sleeve head for ‘puffed’ finish, and little shoulder pads within to hold form, finished with bound edge and tied bow. An attractive sweetheart style neckline is finished with matching piped binding, forming loops either side of neckline and a keyhole to front. Semi fitted, with wide back strap fastening with hook/eye to draw in at the waist (some scope for alteration here). Our in-house specialist restored this piece, adding our signature embroidered stitch fastenings!

Excellent condition following our professional restoration, tiny area of pale foxing to front which is almost entirely masked by print, and a tiny scrub to one shoulder. Minor colourchange to inside of front neck binding, however the piece has been carefully hand laundered and is clean and ready to wear!
