1940s Rayon embroidered nightgown - Small

An ethereal slinky 1940s nightgown, absolutely wearable as a lightweight dress by today’s standards, from British institution St Michael. In pastel pink semi sheer rayon, the bust is pleated from shoulder to midrif seam, and detailed with dainty florals. The piece is only gently fitted, with long ties in the waist to draw it in as desired, and a sweet gathered hem to finish.
Chest of garment 36”
Waist 32” but drawing in with the waist ties
Hip best fit 38” or under, but due to the gathering at centrefront it will accomodate up to 42”
Mid shoulder to hem 53.5”
Lovely condition, two small graze holes at chest as pictured which are lost when worn, two tiny dots to back, and the odd tiny pull to surface. Nothing seen when worn!
