1940s Printed rayon day dress - Small Medium

Lovely lightweight late 1940s day dress, in fairly sheer rayon, printed with abstracted leaf pattern in white against spring green. With small rounded collar and cuffed short sleeve cut in one with the body, it is a loose fit body with rigigid waistline. Side metal zip and front buttons to fasten, unlined so please bear this in mind with undergarments (!)

Chest of garment 38” which includes curve of the underarm so best fit a few inches under

Waist of garment 31” but not meant to be tight

Hip 42”

Mid shoulder to waist 15” Skirt length 26”

Presents excellently, little fade to the vibrancy at shoulders, but this is gradual. A slight scrub at side of zip fabric, and v small hole to back skirt has been backed neatly with reverse patch and there is a smaller nick beneath this, neither noticeable due to the print. Has been homemade so not commercially finished inside
