1940s Llama pile jacket - Small
A sumptuous 1940s jacket, in what I’m fairly confident is made from llama wool having handled other labeled pieces, so is very soft and snug. In a cocoa brown marl, it is open fronted with no fastenings, and lined in brown crepe. Unfitted, and sloping gently to front hem, it features built up neckline to make slightly roled collar, and fabulous full sleeve head for those magnificent shoulders.
14" between shoulders
Chest of garment 42"
Hip 46
Mid shoulder to hem 28
25" sleeve length from shoulder
Fantastic condition with no wear to note, there is some handstitching to lining at the shoulders which suggests it would have had shoulder padding that someone has removed when it fell out of fashion. Shoulders are still quite pronounced without them!
