1940s Hand embroidered silk blouse - Medium Large

An exceptionally sweet 1940s blouse in softest pale cream silk, with beautiful yoke detail all embroidered by hand, depicting posies of florals tied with bows- featuring dainty openwork which is echoed at the collar. The collar itself is double layered and scalloped with edges finished by hand, as are the fold-back cuffs. Semi fitted, with button fastening and neck able to be worn fully buttoned with hand worked loop, or open a way.

Presents excellently, a small super faint blemish to front near buttons as pictured, and and two of the openworked ‘holes’ to yoke have little pale halos around, just seen in the chest pic. We machine darned a small area of damage behind one button to secure, which isn’t seen when fastened.
