1960s Smocked embroidery rhinestone dress - Large

An eye-catching 1960s dress in toffee coloured mid weight cotton, gored in panels for flared a line cut. The bodice is wonderfully detailed with work-intensive smocking detail, hand stitched and finished with twinkling aurora borealis rhinestones. Sleeves are darted to give puffed finish and dotted with more rhinestones, and back neck fastens with faceted globe bead and handworked loop. Side metal zip, unlined

Excellent condition, hem has been let down to present length leaving faint fold line but not very noticeable on. Has been hand made, with hand finished seams etc inside the piece- someone spent a long time on this baby!
