A fabulous and very unusual 1940s dress in mink/tan coloured slubbed cotton which looks almost like silk, printed with freehand 'splatters' of flocking in a deep burgundy-brown. Have you ever?? Featuring covered button back fastening and bow to raised neckline, the bodice has cap sleeves and fastens with side metal zip. Skirt is nicely full, and the piece comes with it's original buckled belt.

Chest of garment 34", so I would estimate best fit at a 32

Waist of garment 29", fine belted in a few inches as pictured

Hip 40"

Mid shoulder to waist 14", Skirt 24.5"

Excellent condition, we fully restored this piece as it had terrible alterations, you now would never know! We added hand-corded loops under each armhole to prevent tears here, which is so common with this cut of sleeve. There is some gentle loss to flocked surface in places, negligible, and a faint line remains from previous hem.
