1930s Tartan check rayon bow detail dress - Small
A glorious late 1930s dress in slinky rayon imitating silk, checked in red and green tartan. The bodice is semi fitted, with square neckline that opens to the side with popstuds, and lightly gathered yoke finished with bows. The sleeves are puffed to the shoulder, with stitched gathers at the hem and matching bows. Lovely fulness to the skirt, and popstuds to the side opening- We reinstated these after restoring the piece, using embroidery stitches to respect the dainty nature of the dress, she's such a special piece! Belt not included
15.5" between shoulder seams
Chest of garment 36", will fit a 34 well as not meant to be too fitted
Waist of garment 28", again designed to fit an inch or two under this
Mid shoulder to waistline 14.5", however the positioning of the belt loops indicate this is slightly above natural waist as the belt is meant to be worn below it
Skirt 25-26"*
We fully restored this piece and she is now in near perfect condition; very slight dulling to the fabric at underarm, absolutely not noticeable when worn, and the skirt has dropped slightly to the front where cut on the bias.
