1930s Silk satin & lace dress - Extra small

A glorious 1930s evening dress in lustrous silk satin, bias cut to cling with a liquid flow, in blackest black. Chest is inset with sheer lace, patterned with clovers and ‘webs’, with the satin body forming pointed peaks to front and back, lined with silk chiffon. Beautifully shaped seaming details the hip, and neckline features a small cluster of floral corsage. Side opening fastens with small popstuds.

Fantastic condition, a small mend to back bottom hem as pictured, which gets lost when worn. Centrefront of chest lining has a short fray along edge but this is underneath the lace and not noticeable on.
