1970 Satin maxi evening jacket - Large

A vampy statuesque 1970s evening coat in blackest black satin, patterned with thick stripe and stylised florals in the weave, from Simon Ellis label. With raised neckline and dramatic lapel, it plunges to front waist, where it fastens with hook & eye, and is open below; very impactful as you walk! Wide hand-worked belt loops are present but no original belt if it had one, being this lovely glossy black it would suit so many possibilities for accessorising!

Presents very well, I noticed an area to back shoulder of small nicks/surface grazes to fabric but the bodice is lined so this is secure and hasn’t formed holes. The denisty of the black masks this somewhat? The odd similar singular scrub to surface in places but otherwise structurally very good and clean condition.
