1930s Embroidered silk origami collar evening jacket - Small Medium
A stunning early 1930s evening jacket in black silk, embroidered with square spirals almost as though quilted, and lined in luxurious black silk charmeuse. The collar is quite exceptional- I’ve never had anything like it- constructed in almost Origami fashion, to lay flat against the body when worn open, and ‘pop’ open like a cornucopia when fastened! Loose fit, with single covered button fastening at the neck, and wonderful structured sleeves which point outwards al the elbow and are cuffed with points to finish.
Rough garment chest is 40”, however not meant to be fitted at all and armholes are quite low
23” mid shoulder to hem
Sleeve approx 20”
Fabulous condition, the odd few missing stitches to the embroidery surfaces, nothing noticeable on
