1950s Checkerboard patchwork cotton skirt - Extra X small

A gorgeous early 1950s summer skirt, constructed in patchwork stitched strips of cream and strawberry pink stripe lightweight gauzy cotton, to form checkerboard pattern. Pleated and nicely full, with side opening and hook/eye fastening. Note, it has been made without a zip but the overlap covers this opening somewhat.

25" long not including waistband
Excellent homemade condition, waistband topstitching a little uneven but this is original to manufacture, a few areas of gentle faint foxing to the cream in places.
