Victorian embroidered silk & ostrich cape - Small Medium

Stupendous in her gothic glory, a substantial Victorian cape in gorgeous blackest black silk, lightly padded and silk lined, with hook fastening from neck to mid chest level. Heavily detailed with plaited braid forming elaborate looped design embroidery, and large motifs to the back, it is finished to front edge and rounded collar with fluffy ostrich feather trim. Please note there are no openings for arms so is an encompasing piece for full drama.

Still presents well and very wearable but with some condition notes as to be expected of a piece 110+ years old; Silk has some areas of fibre parting as indicated in photos, with surface scrubs in places but much of the silk still untouched. All braid and feathers intact, feathers have turned more of a brown-black, and some surface wear to collar as seen.
