1950s Novelty boulevard print cotton skirt - Small

A delightful early 1950s summer skirt in bubblegum pink cotton, printed with antique carriages, boulevard trees, and ornate garden chairs, in white/black/forest green. Nicely full, with side metal zip and hook and eye fastening.

I acquired this as a damaged skirt with no waistband, which my restoration technologist cleverly took a little fabric from the length of the piece to construct the waist for, and reinserted a vintage metal zip. There is some fade from top to bottom at the back which presents as a very gradual slight ombre and not very noticeable when worn. The original colour would have been several shades darker, but the present hue is really quite charming
