This stunning 1960s designer dress is being released from our permanent collection, it's an unusual example from the label, who most commonly made heavily beaded evening pieces during this period.
So unmistakably Swinging Sixties, in the softest and most supple silk-lined pure silk, printed with psychedelic styled leaves and Biloba silhouette in vibrant (almost neon!) pink and ivory. With back metal zip, the sleeves are gathered to a deep cuff, fastening with covered buttons and rouleaus.
The bust and side seams open out into deep knife pleats; this subtle detail gives a gorgeous fluidity and depth to the piece. The V neckline is finished with collar, with a subtle roll giving a little height.
Chest around a 34", would take an inch more but is not designed to be fitted

Waist 31"

Hip fit around a 36"

Length mid shoulder to hem 30"

In great structural condition, the odd v gentle surface snag perhaps but nothing noticeable when worn. There is a faint mark at the right side chest which is lost against the print (pictured). One or two areas of very very soft pink haze to the ivory, again not recognisable when worn. Evidence of a label in the neck having been removed (just dot depressions from stitching, nothing major), which would likely have been from the store the piece retailed through originally.
