1950s Windowpane printed summer dress - Small
An eyecatching 1950s day dress, in cotton printed with 'windowpanes' of brushstroke colour blocks, in stone/indigo blue/cranberry/tan. With nipped waist and dropped seam skirt pleated for fulness, a full length central plaque is detailed with ricrac trim and large covered buttons, and little faux pockets finish the upper hip. With back metal zip to fasten, I have seen an identical dress with the reliable British label 'Carnegie', so it is safe to assume this piece is also from that design house.
Chest of garment 37"
Waist 28"
38.5" mid shoulder to hem
In excellent structural condition, a little of the ricrac has picked up a pinky hue to the faux pockets, possibly from transfer from another garment, and a few of the grey squares of the print have also at the skirt- Not very noticeable on. Do handwash in cold water in the future to be safe!
