A chic late 1950s day coat from ‘wholesale couturier’ Matita, who copied French couture designer pieces, (the label features a spritely figure prancing with their dog which is just charming, I believe my favourite vintage label graphic). Somewhat reminiscent of 1958 Dior or late 50s Balenciaga! In a muted creamed-raspberry pink shade of chunky bouclé, it is unfitted with wide 3/4 length drop sleeve. Fastening with lovely tactile chunky buttons, and with pockets concealed in the seaming.
Chest of garment 46” however meant to be worn very loose, I’d estimate desired fit at approx a 36 chest?
Hip 48”
Mid shoulder to hem 33”
Fabulous condition, Only thing to note is some speckled marking to lining which isn’t seen from outer, presents excellently.
