A gorgeous little black dress from Hardy Amies, a couture designer famed for his beautiful tailoring, in super soft cashmere feel fabric. A very chic wiggle with wonderful design details; the sleeveless bodice is constructed with clever loose back cowl forming little cap sleeve shoulder overhang, all cut in one with the bust shaping. The skirt features statuesque diagonal pleating at hip, with no seaming at centre front for fluidity from bodice down. Side metal zip to fasten, unlined other than the reverse side of cowl, and petersham inner waist band for structure.
Chest of garment 37”
Waist 27
Hip 38
14” mid shoulder to waist
24” skirt length, with scope to let this down at least 2”
Excellent condition, tiny pull to the fabric at one seam where the bust meets shoulder detail, not noticeable when worn, and a very very shallow pitting to surface of fabric at neck which camera couldn’t even pick up. Perhaps would have come with a fitted slip originally as is unlined, but soft enough to wear without in my opinion
