1950s Designer Giuliano Fratti beaded necklace
Tax included.
A gorgeous and eye-catching late 1950s necklace from respected Italian designer Giuliano Fratti, who created pieces for haute couture houses such as Dior and Chanel during this era, and later Pierre Cardin.. quality oozes from this treasure! Each strand features groups of three pea green matte finish glass beads, held between filigree brass cages, and separated by an irregularly shaped pearlised glass bead. The clasp is the real indicator of quality, with marbled cabochon set into the back plaque, and stamped with signature 'GM' to reverse.
Approx 14" around shortest length
A piece of some weight, there are one or two very short areas of the strung cord peeking between beads where the cord has 'stretched' slightly with the weight over time, but this isn't very noticeable on. The pearlised beads have some coating loss along the raised edges as pictured.
