A sweet late 1940s-early 1950s summer set, of sundress and short bolero, in palest pink and dove grey lightest weight rayon taffeta, with plisse surface effect. The dress features notched neckline, wide waistband, and gathered tiered skirt finished with large front pockets. There is a matching belt which can fasten to front or back with clear class button, and is removable should you wish to use another. The bolero finishes above the waist, with short sleeve cut in one with the body, and glass button fastening. The buttonholes are laboriously hand-bound, and restored my our in-house specialist.

Chest of garment 34"

Waist 25"

Mid shoulder to top of waistband 15.5", to bottom of waistband 17"

Skirt 24.5"

Presents excellently, the side zip has been handstitched in which is perfectly functional, and top of zip tape is a little discoloured. The odd very gentle pull or scuff but nothing noticeable when worn. A reverse patch has mended a small hole to back of bolero, which isn't very visible when worn, and a small scuff hole remains at back shoulder.
