1940s Black wool plunge front dress - Extra X large
Tax included.
A racy-as-you-like No Nonsense 1940s dress in fine black wool, with dramatic shaping details and inserts of the fabric going in the other direction for contrast. Would be worn with a ‘dickie’ or half blouse, popstuds inside the neckline indicate it would have had one, but would also be fine with a light camisole or your finest lingerie! Plunge front with wide lapel, inverted pleat to skirt, shoulder pads, and matching belt to draw in the waist as desired. Unlined, no back or side openings so bear this in mind with sizing
Chest of garment 43”
Waist 38
Hip 47
44” mid shoulder to hem
Sleeve 24” from shoulder
Presents well, there are a handful of darns smattered about to the skirt, which are raised surface areas rather than visible stitching- pictured. A darn at one wrist. A few tiny snag pulls at the angular seam meetings in the shaping/inserts which is from manufacture rather than wear!
