1940s Smocked pure silk dusky pink & blue dress - Extra small petite / youth

Someone's absolute best dress! A stunning 1940s youth dress, maybe fit a petite adult bearing in mind there is no bust shaping, in dusky pink silk most like the flat lay reverse side image in colour. With gathered full skirt and sweet puffed short sleeve, the bodice is hand embroidered with blue detailing, as are the cuffs and small rounded collar. Hand smocking decorates the waist, and the back ties with long bow as desired. Back bodice fastens with carved mother of pearl buttons, and handworked eyes & hooks.
