1940s Burgundy wool band letterman/varsity jacket
A gorgeous late 1940s early 1950s high school band varsity jacket in high quality burgundy wool, with 'Fab-Knits' label and embroidered name tab in the pocket; This originally belonged to Taylor! With striped woollen ribbing to waist and cuff, and cream wool chenille patch of the high school, Killeen of Texas US. Popstud fastening and lovely iridescent duckegg rayon lining. All great quality!
Chest if garment 37", fits a 34" chest well
Waist 26-8"
Mid shoulder to hem 20"
22" sleeve from shoulder
Presents excellentl, a couple of very small well done darns to ribbing, which just present themselves as blips to the weave rather than bulky stitching- see cuff photo. A nick to the patch edge, and couple of small nibble holes to lining, not seen when worn obviously. The odd discolouration to cream stripe of the ribbing, and a small number of nibbles to the pile of the main body which are not holes, see close up of popstud for worst example- not noticeable when worn at all!
