A curious summer piece that I believe started life as a 1930s dress but has been altered into tie back top- nicely done and still sympathetic to a 20s/30s wardrobe.. I can see it styled with beach pyjama bottoms and a parasol! In a gorgeous shade of seafoam green, sheer crisp silk-feel fabric with opaque rose design, it features double layer capelet style shoulders, and rolled rose at the v neckline. The long ties can form a bow as pictured, or be crossed and brought round to the front.

Chest 34-6”

Waist 28-30”

15” mid shoulder to hem

Great condition, as it’s an altered item there are a couple of different kinds of stitching; just stitch length and slightly differing shades of cotton so nothing obvious. The edge of the capelet has whipped stitching, with a little of the fabric there being slightly tatty but no biggie! Mild tonal discolouration to underarm areas which is covered when worn, v small pin hole to back neck.
