1920s Black silk habotai wrap front blouse or light jacket
A gorgeous early 1920s blouse/outer top (ie worn over a cami or tighter fitting light blouse), in beautiful quality black silk. Featuring intricate ladder work embroidery at seams, and lightly gathered front and back yokes, there is a flat panel of silk georgette backed in silk satin at the front of waistband which it would be possible to thread some means of fastening through to keep loosely closed if desired (perhaps a double ended tassel tie?). Otherwise it can be wrapped around and tucked into your skirt/trousers, or belt.
The long sleeves are finished with pointed cuffs able to be worn down or folded back as seen. Also looks lovely worn open! Accessories not included
Chest of garment approx 40" although not meant to be fitted at all
Between back waist seams is 11" so would fit from a 22" waist fully wrapped over, to at least 25-6" I'd say bearing in mind the front will be more open
15" mid shoulder to waist plus 2" of waistband
17" from underarm seam to wrist, plus 2.5" cuff length
Presents excellently, there is a small hole to one sleeve and scrub to back shoulder. There has been a small fastening at each side of the front opening at some point, likely a posted, which has caused little areas of damage as pictured. Nothing so noticeable when worn!
