I’m estimating the date of this jacket at late 1920s \/ early 1930s. In black wool crepe, it is unfitted, with low asymmetric fastening of corded button and bound buttonhole allowing the front to fall open into lapels. You could also add a popstud to the neck to fasten it there, but I see no evidence of there being one. Sleeves are stupendously wide, in black cotton velvet, and gathered to a flat cuff to billow dramatically. Minor wear to the lining in small spots (sleeves are unlined but this is original). Couple of small worn spots to surface of the velvet pile at one cuff as pictured, and the odd slight discrepancy to the velvet, biggest\/worst pictured which is a dribble of sorts and much less noticeable when worn!.
