A gorgeous late 1930s-early 40s evening dress in a pink purple faille/grosgrain taffeta, slim fitting in the body and with full skirt for that fabulous silhouette.
With wider neckline and lightly gathered petal collar which overhangs the armholes, the floor-length skirt hangs beautifully, and features an incredible large vertically looped 'bustle' detail of umbrella pleating. Colour most like close up images.

Presents very well, there is gentle seam stressing at the back bodice but the fabric is naturally very strong. Gradual light colour fade to outer areas of the draping compared with inner which isn't noticeable on. A few small fabric scuffs marks and minor fade to underarm which isn't noticeable on. Otherwise just the odd tiny pin hole, or very very faint small mark, but certainly nothing to detract from the impact of this incredible piece.
