1930s Hand embroidered silk blouse - Extra large

A gorgeous 1930s blouse in pale beige silk, loosely fitted, with back button fastening. The neck and cap sleeve have been meticulously hand bound with embroidery stitches to the scalloped edge, as have the dainty back buttonholes, in grey silk thread. The chest and sleeve feature intensive embroidery in dove grey, with tiny hand rendered latticework inside the larger florals

Presents well, has been freshly laundered, as pictured there is a repair to the neckline, and a few pulls along the stitching at sleeve edges. Two tiny holes below waist level at one side and one to lower back, all would be covered if worn tucked into a garment. Minor damage behind one button which doesn't affect use and isn't seen when worn, faintest bluey tint to side of waist likely from garment transfer, camera didn't pick this up and again would be covered if worn tucked in.
